Dr. Remington, D.V.M. was granted Diplomate Status in the Avian Specialty by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in 2001. She is a Certified Aviculturist by the American Federation of Aviculture, and was nominated as one of the Bird Talk's Bird Channel.com's Top Bird Veterinarians. Dr. Remington is a graduate of Western Kentucky University with a B.S. in Agriculture Animal Science, did post graduate work at the University of Louisville, and obtained her doctorate from Purdue University. She is a state liaison for the Association of Avian Veterinarians

She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, several local veterinary association, Big Bend Bird Club, Tri State Avian Society, and does limited private bird rescue and adoptions. She is currently practicing avian,exotic, and small animal veterinary medicine, and surgery in Tallahassee, Florida.

Her and her husband, Maitland Remington Jr. raises Miniature Horses, Ponies, and Tennessee Walking Horses, on a picturesque farm in Montocello, Florida.
